Fohr Keramik was founded in 1859 by Wilhelm Fohr and was originally a small family-run company.
The company grew significantly in the 1950s when Heinz Siery took over as designer.
From the mid-1960s onwards, the company reduced production of vases such as Fat Lava and focused on producing gardening supplies, which led to a significant increase in sales and continued production until 2008.
